Each of the three credit bureau reports come with dispute forms. You are entitled to each report (Transunion, Experian and Equifax) each year. You simply challenge the errors and if they cannot verify the information, the dings MUST be removed by law.

Do you have proof of living at a different location at the time? Also, do I understand correctly that the eviction notice is for a different appartment than the one in which you lived? If so, the apt. manager should be willing to work with you because they reported it incorrectly.
You might need to go to the credit reporting company (Experion, Trans Union, or Equifax) and find out what would be needed to get it straightened out. Try to get the apt. manager to work with you first, dealing with the credit reporting companies is not always easy.
